Every now and then I draw greeting cards with birds on the cover. I’ll collect them in this thread.They’re mostly done with pencils and/or coloured pencils. All are drawn from my own photo stock. I’ll give the german, english and scientific names so you may learn a little bit

I “finished” my novel with about 23000 words – that’s not even half of  the required word count to win NaNo. I don’t regret being part of the happening, it was fun to start at midnight on 1st November. But then everyday life threw a monkey wrench in my plans to get the story finished in November.

It’s a good story though, I like the developing of a simple idea to a complex story line. It’s written in Ashreels 1st person perspective, which suits me very well. Perhaps I’m going to finish it. And perhaps I will take part of NaNoWriMo again next year ;D

At the same time the photo is the start-up posting for a new category called NATURE IS AN ARTIST TOO. It will contain special threads about the beauty of nature.

Recently I discovered my love for beautiful fabrics. Since I have not that much time for huge sewing projects I will limit myself to pillowslips, bordering curtains or small easy things – like stars for Yule (aka Christmas). I bought some nice fabric leftovers with festive designs on e*ay.  In my holidays I’m going to sew some of them. They will be small presents for friends and family. I’m very curious about how the stars will finally look like.
